L77 Injectors

Hi, new member, G8 owner. Doing some more mods to the car and thought your group would be the best ones to ask. Going to up upgrade to the 16 hole L77 injectors. Better atomization can lead to more power and be more efficient when your foot is not on the floor. Now I’ve changed the micro filters in the injectors before. I was surprised the injectors I received didn’t have the filters. Bigger surprise was the inlet was larger and the filter I have just fell inside. Measured at just over 8mm. Do your original injectors have them? Are they the 6mm standard size or larger?
On a second point the L76/L77 is as good a base to start from as the LS3. Only difference is the larger bore, cam and lifters,and light weight intake valves. Ditch the DOD and throw in a LS3 cam and the only thing your missing is 12 cubic inches.
