Thanks in advance for the help I will ask for.
My experience comes from supercharging my 2000 GMC 2500. I learned about LSA superchargers quite awhile ago from forced induction websites, and when I learned about Chevy SSs and then found out about PPVs and how much less they cost than SSs, I began looking for one. LSA superchargers were cheap, so what a great way to build a factory supercharged LS engined sedan. Well, I found a relatively cheap 2012 PPV 6.0 this spring and snatched it up.
What a slap in the face it was to find out how expensive LSA superchargers have become, lol. A complete system will cost more than I paid for the car. I still plan to force air into the engine with a positive displacement blower sometime soon, but now I'm not sure what system I will use.
So far the only mods I have made is to disable cylinder deactivation, remove the speed limiter (why, I don't know), adjust the shift quality, and put in a G8 rear seat just to have the pass through. Next is installing a Camaro trans pan and filter. No sense in posting pics, it's a white PPV with the searchlight and 8(!) antennas removed.

Re: Hello from South Suburban Chicago
Welcome! I remember years back that the Chicago Holdens forum was pretty active, did it fall by the wayside?
Prices are up on everything these days, would surprise me if they keep climbing....
Thanks
Eric

Welcome. I'm in NW Indiana about a mile from Lansing, IL. Maybe we connect sometime at John's Bluetop Drive-In (local hotrod hangout) on Indianapolis blvd 1.4 miles South of I-94.
What did you use for tuning your car?
Regards,
John
